Swinburne University of Technology is one of Australia’s leading universities, with a focus on innovation, industry engagement and social inclusion. 

Challenge

The higher education sector is a crowded and competitive field, with very little daylight between each institution’s brand positioning. Swinburne sought to stand out by reflecting the truth of university life – that the getting of wisdom is only one part of the story. It’s the adventure had along the way that’s just as important for shaping who you become.

Solution

The brand was repositioned around the adventure worth having and for the unknown to become knowing. An integrated brand campaign plus tactical enrolment campaigns and Open Day events emphasised the adventure of university life and the joy of the journey itself. The results saw Swinburne’s stock with future students rise, with first preference choice for the university continuing to grow.
